The Solanin Mood

image

Have been listening back and forth to Solanin's soundtrack lately since I'm kinda having the 'solanin-mood'. It seems like it best suit my situation where I felt stuck in this grown-up world.
The soundtrack was done by the Asian Kung Fu Generation. Even without it being Solanin's soundtrack I might still stumble upon the song eventually since I have been listening to them since high school. It seems like their songs always have a way in summing up my feelings growing up. Listening to them always feels soothing (even though their music anything but 'soothing') and make me feels like there's somebody hugging a little piece of me in the corner. This particularly best proven by  their two Solanin soundtrack.
And yeah, Solanin itself is a manga that revolves around the pain and uncertainty of growing up. It does dramatize a bit as what most shoujo mangas do, but I could totally empathize with its main characters feelings. It is not much about crushes or love life, but more like finding a goal and meaning to our existence.
Reading this manga makes me wonder about  life itself and raised some questions such as 'What do i really want to do with life? What do i need to do in life? Should i seek for the answers?'

The best part of this manga is actually the ambiguity of its ending which i usually loathe from other mangas. The way it wrapped up the slow paced story totally suits its moral:
'life goes on. It may get suck sometimes. You may not know all the answers, but still life would goes on. And sadly life is too short to wonder too much, so just live your life to the fullest everyday.'
I cannot agree more with a manga, and it still is one my favorite manga.
